So much to do. So much to see. So little time! We understand how overwhelming this must be to a newly minted or seasoned traveler, wanting to hit up the best places in town. Here at Global Access, we spend quite a bit of time in Las Vegas, hosting meetings and entertaining clients, so we have curated a snapshot of a few of our favorites.
Most recently, we stayed at the newly opened Delano Hotel, formerly The Hotel, which is next door to Mandalay Bay. While some travelers might feel it’s too far down the Strip, rest assured, you are going to love this place. Similar to the Delano Hotel in Miami, the hotel exudes luxury, so much sexiness, and lots of posh, without being over the top. It’s warm, inviting, gorgeous, and is the perfect place to go for a romantic weekend or if you’re in need of a hotel that meets the sophisticated needs for your most important clients.
We love the guest rooms – they are spacious, elegant, and modern, with a European flair. They also have a suite for your doggie-loving clients! For those of you interested in booking meeting space at Delano, we felt their meeting rooms and service was exceptional, which can sometimes be challenging in a town with more than 22,000 conventions per year. They have over 30 meeting rooms that provide all of your high-tech needs, in an intimate, upscale setting. While the actual meeting space is slightly small for larger groups and conventions, they offer Mandalay Bay’s huge convention center that is just a short walk away from the hotel. Our client was incredibly pleased with meeting space and requested we re-book in the future.
Now on to the fun stuff! It’s hard to be discerning in Las Vegas when trying to find variety shows that your client and team will equally enjoy. There are so many to choose from! We decided on purchasing tickets for Cirque Du Soleil’s Michael Jackson show, ONE. Wow! What an incredible show! It’s a must-see and one that almost every attendee will enjoy. Who doesn’t love Michael Jackson music?! The show is right next-door at Mandalay Bay, so we hosted a dinner at the fun and casual Della’s Kitchen, in Delano Hotel, which specializes in delicious comfort food, sourced from fresh, local ingredients. It was a big hit with our group. Then it was show time!
Brooke’s tip — Make sure to book your group tickets to ONE through your meetings manager. You will get much better seats, at a great price.
Let us know how your next meeting goes in Las Vegas! We would love to hear from you about your favorite places to visit.
